A sporadic letter of listening, reading, and watching suggestions.

I just arrived back from a trip to Lisbon. 70,000 people from the tech industry crammed into a sprawling souq mostly discussing the need for ‘long term thinking.’
Novel.
There isn’t an individual in the creative industry that knows any game plan other than the long game. (I don’t count Insta influencers as creatives.)
Below are some of my favourite creatives (and their recent projects) that understand how hard it is to build trust and how easy it is to lose it.

I’ve very much enjoyed reading Simon Sinek’s new book. The infinite game. A game I like to try to play and one every really successful business always has.

If you wanted to give your kids a quick lesson in tax avoidance you should watch The Laundromat. A very simple and light insight into the Panama Papers, shell companies and big business.

Sorry we missed you. Ken Loach hitting hard with a very realistic story about the Gig-Economy.

📻3 podcasts
13 Minutes to the Moon tells the story of the 1969 Apollo 11 lunar landing by unpicking exactly was going on in the 13 minutes just before Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the surface of the moon.
The Mysterious Mr.Epstein. A fantastically well produced podcast about one of the worlds greatest scumbags. 
The Missing Crypto Queen. A very sad story of greed, pride and upsettingly; hope. 

🎧1 album
FKA Twigs launched her much anticipated album Magdelene. Twigs, a Catholic school alumnus, explores the ways deeply conservative expectations suppress women. To experience Twigs best you need to watch and listen.
